Being one of the very few NGOs in Lebanon specialized in mental health, and especially suicide prevention Embrace aims to train and build the capacity of other NGOs whose line of work entails responding to mental health needs and providing psychosocial support to populations who may be at risk of mental health problems and suicide. Embrace trains NGOs working with different vulnerable populations including refugees, children, women experiencing sexual and gender based violence and LGBT communities.

Training to the AMENAH Project Field Workers

The Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut and under the framework of the AMENAH project collaborated with Embrace and held a two day training for social field workers who are part of the project to empower young Syrian refugee girls in various life skills with the aim of delaying the early age of marriage. Embrace provided expertise on how to address the mental health needs and suicide risk among this vulnerable population.
