Between 2013 and 2015, Embrace helped cover the cost of the outpatient and inpatient treatments for individuals who suffer from disabling and often life threatening psychiatric and psychological conditions and who qualify for financial aid at the AUBMC Social Services Office irrespective of gender, race, nationality or religious affiliation.
These conditions include, but are not limited to, acute and chronic mental illnesses such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, generalized anxiety disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
In 2014, a total of 12 patients with a mean age of 29.7 were assisted. A total of $12,759 in mental health expenses were covered.
In 2015, a total of 17 patients with a mean age of 29.82 were assisted. A total of $10,997 in mental health expenses were covered.
